Black History Month Opening Ceremony - "Evolution of Freedom"

Monday, February 3, 2014 noon to 1 p.m.
The Kick off to Black History Month at UCF will be on February 3, 2014 at 12:00p.m., with our university-wide Opening Ceremony. Doors will open at 11:00am and the event will begin at 12:00 Noon in Pegasus Ballroom, located in the Student Union. The theme for the month is “Evolution of Freedom.” The month’s events will recognize how the strides of our predecessors now shaped the way we all live our lives today. The Black History Month featured Keynote Speaker will be Hill Harper, a strong advocate for continuous success with education. He will share his passion to inspire and encourage young men and women at UCF by speaking on his work as a role model and advocate for the youth. As a national bestselling author, a nationally renowned actor, and a Harvard Law school graduate, we are proud to announce Mr. Harper as our Black History Month keynote speaker.
