Author Connie May Fowler - Reading and Discussion

Award-winning novelist, screenwriter, poet, and memoirist Connie May Fowler will give a reading from 4:30-5:45 pm in 119 HPA1. Fowler is the author of a memoir and five critically acclaimed novels, including Before Women Had Wings, which she also adapted as a screenplay for Oprah Winfrey. The film version of Before Women Had Wings starred Ms. Winfrey and Ellen Barkin and won an Emmy. She is also an activist who works on behalf of victims of child abuse and domestic violence.
