In this presentation, we will use the cycle of socialization and clips from two documentaries to outline the way in which gender permeates social systems. The presentation includes two engaging activities that allows participants to share their perspectives and personal stories about gender. By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to identify ways in which gender is a social construct, explain the concepts of masculinity and femininity, and define ways in which they can be agents of change.
