Leadership Week: A Culture of Personal Wellness A path to Maintaining Sustainable Productivity Without Burnout

Purpose: The purpose of this workshop is to assist participants in achieving or maintaining personal wellness in order to preserve sustainable productivity and protect against burnout for themselves, as well as for the people they lead on their team, in their business or institution.


Content: In this interactive workshop, participants will: 1) receive an overview of lifestyle recommendations for wellness, specifically nutrition, sleep, activity and mindfulness, 2) discuss methods for achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, 3) set personal healthy lifestyle goals and develop strategies to achieve those goals, and 4) identify one wellness initiative they can implement with their team to influence the culture in their environment.


Relevance: Maintaining sustainable productivity without burnout is part of becoming a successful leader. Leaders seeking to be agents of social change can serve as role models and create productive cultures that honor wellness.

Bio: Magdalena Pasarica MD, PhD is a Family Medicine physician with a PhD in Nutrition, who integrates healthy lifestyle into her clinical practice, as well as teaching and research activity at UCF College of Medicine.
