Creative Manager Janelle Picard at UCF Producers Guild

Please join the UCF School of Visual Arts & Design Film Department for an evening with Janelle Picard, Creative Manager in theme park development for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment

Janelle oversees and contributes to the design and development of major attractions from initial concept through completion, working with teams of architects, engineers, designers, artists, fabricators and more. Recently finished projects include the Dolphin Nursery at SeaWorld Orlando; InvadR™ at Busch Gardens Williamsburg; and Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin at SeaWorld Orlando. Current attractions in progress, scheduled to open in 2018, include Battle for Eire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, a first-of-its-kind VR action ride, and Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando, a river rapids attraction with surrounding experiences featuring gameplay with conservation and water replenishment messaging.

 A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication Technology, her career path has developed a broad understanding of art and technology in printed and digital design, animation, and production, now supporting her work in the development of themed attractions and environments. She is a member of the Themed Entertainment Association and Harriet B's Daughters.
