29th Annual UCF Clarinet Day

Saturday, February 16, 2019 noon to 5 p.m.

The UCF Music Department is proud to announce the Twenty-ninth Annual UCF Clarinet Day on Saturday, February 16, 2019. This will be a day of clarinet activities designed for high school, college, and community clarinet players, including performances, masterclass, and a mass clarinet choir reading session. This year’s guest artist will be noted clarinetist and clarinet choir arranger Dr. Tod Kerstetter, professor at Kansas State University.

The program will also feature an appearance by Orlando’s own Licorice Sticks Clarinet Orchestra! This extraordinary ensemble includes classical music arrangements and original works, along with unexpected material such as pop, jazz, blues, and showtunes - many of which have been arranged specifically for this group. The group is led by Rick Kissinger, and the conductor for this appearance will be Erin Davis.

Registration will begin at 12:00 noon, and events run from 12:30 to 5:30 PM. The cost is $25; free with UCF ID. Make sure to bring your clarinet!
