Synopsis
Christy Dempsey, Press Ganey CNO and a registered nurse, will share the insights and experiences collected over the course of her 30-year career in health care that form the foundation of her recent book, The Antidote to Suffering: How Compassionate Connected Care Can Improve Safety, Quality, and Experience. Because every patient’s care journey is different, she believes that the key to delivering superior care is to forge a human connection with each patient, and will discuss several ways to do this. Her presentation will remind us that while scores and percentile rank are important, the ultimate goal of health care is to reduce patient suffering, and compassionate, connected care can do just that.

Objectives
1. Define suffering of patients and caregivers
2. Identify met and unmet needs of patients and caregivers based on current data
3. Learn about the Compassionate Connected Care framework and themes
4. Discuss tangible and tactical strategies for improvement in patient centered care

The deadline to register for this event is Friday, September 28. We hope to see you there!
