The second lecture in UCF's Urban and Regional Planning Distinguished Lecture Series for 2014-15 will focus on "Planning, Health and Poverty: Community Schools - One Solution."
The lecture will be held Thurs., Feb. 5, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Werner Auditorium, Florida Hospital, 601 East Rollins Street, Orlando. It is free and open to the public.
The distinguished lecturer will be Jane Quinn, vice president and director of the National Center for Community Schools in New York City. Her lecture will focus on community schools as a strategy to mitigate the impacts of poverty on the health of a community.
