Art History Lecture Series: Feminism and the Guerilla Girls

Friday, September 21, 2018 noon to 1 p.m.

Art History Lecture Series: Feminism and the Guerilla Girls
Presented by: Dr. Ilenia Colón Mendoza

The Guerilla Girls came onto the art scene in 1985. These anonymous artists wear gorilla masks while
advocating for gender and racial equity. We will discuss how their work can be used to inspire feminist activism and civic engagement at a local level. Students will be able to take a feminist pledge and get their Guerilla on!

Please RSVP to attend.

Sponsored by an Association of American Colleges and Universities Endeavor Foundation Grant
