International Observe the Moon Night

Saturday, October 20, 2018 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

UCF students, staff, faculty, and the public at large are all welcome to participate in UCF's event for International Observe the Moon Night. As the InOMN website says, the event "is a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration held annually since 2010." On this day, everyone on Planet Earth is "invited to observe and learn about the Moon together, and to celebrate the cultural and personal connections we all have with our nearest neighbor." Here at UCF we will have telescopes set up for people to look through, as well as other Moon- and space-related activities!

Note that the event is at the Reflecting Pond by Millican Hall, not at the Observatory itself. The event is also part of the "Knights Under The Stars" series.

Note that if there is rainy weather, the event could be cancelled, so follow Robinson Observatory on the Web, on Facebook, or on Twitter for late-breaking updates on the day of the event.
