CPNM Research Brown-bag Presentation

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 noon to 1 p.m.

It All Depends…But on What? Examining Context in Strategic Implementation (Greatest Hits) by David Mitchell, Ph.D.

As a follow-up to his UCF job talk almost five years ago, this compendious presentation refines David Mitchell’s initial contingent model of strategic implementation success by identifying success factors for different phases and contexts of implementation. In addition, he reviews the importance of the city manager toward strategic implementation success. The result provides scholars a mechanism with which to define a contingent process model of strategic implementation while providing detailed guidance to practitioners to improve implementation outcomes and ultimately government performance. To conclude, he details upcoming efforts to explore an original dataset of 35,000 observations collected exclusively by UCF faculty and students.

Research brown-bag presentations will be hosted by the CPNM on most Wednesdays September 12 – November 28, 2018. Presentations will be delivered starting at 12:00 p.m., with discussion to follow. Feel free to bring your lunch. HPA II 247 is reserved 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
