OCPS Induction-Beginning Teacher Supports

Description: OCPS Induction is a multi-year support system designed to develop and acculturate new teachers in the vision of the district and expectations for teaching and learning. The focus for induction is to assist beginning teachers in selecting appropriate strategies in supporting the relationships between standards-based instruction, active learning strategies, and classroom management to create a learning centered environment using traditional resources and technology. Teachers are given and use resources to gain an understanding of the instructional framework and strategies to promote a learning centered environment.
