An Incomplete History of the Stonewall Uprising

Gay bars have always been a refuge for people in the queer community. In the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, one such bar played an unlikely role in the LGBTQ+ rights movement when Stonewall patrons took a stand against ongoing oppression. Called riots by some, an uprising by others, the impact of that event still reverberates around the world, its history is incomplete.
