Stargazing and Camping

Friday, October 25, 2019 3 p.m. to Saturday, October 26 at 5 p.m.

*** CAN NOT HAVE FRIDAY AFTERNOON CLASSES***
Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park is the largest remaining stretch of Florida dry prairie. Not only does this location boast excellent birding opportunities, but its remoteness makes it one of Florida's finest spots for stargazing! Join Outdoor Adventure as we sleep under the stars and enjoy a relaxing night spotting constellations and learning how to cook food while camping.

To register for the trip, please visit the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) in the Recreation and Wellness Center. Our open hours are:

Monday - 12:00pm-6:00pm

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 2:00pm-6:00pm

Friday - 12:00pm-6:00pm

The OAC is room 154, located on the first floor of the Recreation and Wellness Center, just past the racquetball courts, down the long hallway, across from the RWC Wet Classroom and Men's locker room entrance to the lap pool.

*AFTER REGISTERING FOR THE COURSE, PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND THE PRE TRIP MEETING*
