Did you know that working on a team is one of the most sought-after skills employers look for in hiring and promotions? Communication is also one of those valued skills.
The workshop, hosted by Dr. Buckingham, a faculty with thirty years as a practitioner in public administration, will explain why it is important to develop yourself as a team member and communicator. What roles might you take on a team? How can you contribute to a team when you are an introvert, extrovert or simply don’t like team activities?
We’ll do a pre-assessment of your skills and provide you with impartial and supportive feedback at the end of the workshop.
We’ll show you examples of presentation techniques, good and, well, not so good and provide some tips on effective presentation techniques. You will have the opportunity to practice if you choose and receive some private feedback.
Jamilah Felix, a UCF School of Public Administration alum and Neighborhood Relations Coordinator for the City of Orlando, will join us to provide insight into these tools from the practical perspective.
Registration is requested.
