THE PSYCHOLOGY OF MONEY - YOUNG KNIGHT'S WORKSHOP SERIES.

Friday, February 7, 2020 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

In a recent study, 84 percent of undergraduates indicated they needed more education on financial management topics: 64 percent would have liked to receive information in high school and 40 percent as college freshmen. Hence, this motivated this choice of conversation.

Bad credit can affect your ability to get into graduate school, obtain a job, or rent an apartment; bankruptcy filings among young adults are rising, credit card lenders target students, debt burdens force some to quit school. Social stigma attached to bad credit can be a major burden, the truth is bad credits can be avoided as excessive interest rates, fees, and penalties truly hurt.

We have invited Dr. Curtis Proctor, the Director of Advancement at the College of Community Innovation and Education here at UCF. We trust him to deliver a thought provoking session that would promote how to

- Maintain a Positive Credit Rating, Understand Predatory Lending Practices, Learn How to Manage Spending and Understand How Your Value Systems Work.

- Also in order to Learn to Talk the Talk of Consumer Finance and Lending, Understand How Perceptions, Relationships, and Judgments are Influenced by Money and to have a full Grasp of the Psychology and Emotional Components of Money Behavior.

You cannot afford to miss this session because You truly Don’t want to let Debt Consume You!

 Date: February 7th, 2020.

Time: 5pm – 6.30pm

Venue: Barbara Ying Center, ODI Training Room 140.
