Cumberland Island is a beautiful National Seashore located off the southern coast of Georgia. What makes Cumberland so unique is that it provides its hikers both a shaded inner wilderness and a pristine surrounding beach. The island is home to wild horses which we will most likely see roaming the island freely. We will travel to the island on a ferry, spend the weekend backpacking the inner trails of the island, and camp out at a backcountry site.
