UCF Literacy Symposium Express: Academic Literacy and English Language Learners

Join us for Academic Literacy and English Language Learners: The Power of Culturally Relevant Age Appropriate Text for Language Acquisition, as a part of UCF’s Literacy Symposium Express series.

To support the needs of preK-12 educators during this unprecedented time, the UCF Literacy Symposium is offering an express virtual event on Literacy Engagement and Socio-Emotional Learning for educators, parents, literacy friends and advocates. This series of timely, live, interactive and virtual professional learning sessions will be offered virtually each month for free to registered participants.

Session description: In this highly interactive and energetic session, participants engage in a full and fun lesson to learn the power of age-appropriate and culturally responsive text for English Language Learners. (Audience: Grades 6-12)
