Find Your Hidden Gem: UCF Technology Ventures Symposium

Wednesday, February 17, 2021 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Hidden gems of high-tech opportunity abound at UCF. You can discover them at the UCF Technology Ventures Symposium, designed to connect innovative UCF student startups, faculty researchers, established entrepreneurs, venture investors and anyone else who dreams of being part of "the next big thing" in Orlando.

The one-day virtual conference will uncover little-known, big-potential technology startups created by UCF students, faculty and alumni for potential investment.

For inspiration, keynote speaker Jason Eichenholz '95MS '98PhD will share his journey as a tech pioneer who made it big. He co-founded Luminar Technologies, an Orlando company specializing in driverless car technology that recently went public in a multi-billion-dollar venture and was recognized by Forbes in its inaugural Impact 20 list.

The symposium's specialty tracks are designed to help entrepreneurs and investors expand their networks, improve startup pitches, uncover sources of capital, spark discoveries of new, licensable technologies and influence the commercial potential of new ideas.

Other featured speakers include a second keynote by UCF aerospace engineering alumnus Kevin DiMarzio '10, '14MBA, VP business development, Made In Space, the company credited with sending the first 3D printer to the International Space Station. Rebecca Liu-Doyle, principal, Insight Partners, will add her national tech investment expertise to the Investors panel; and Suneera Madhani, founder and CEO, Fattmerchant, named to Forbes' 40 Under 40 in Finance list in 2020, will add insight to the "How to Pitch Your Idea" panel.

Attendees will also hear exciting startup pitches: a $10,000 prize will be awarded to the top student pitch! This is a can't-miss event! Register today (it's free!)
