Students come from a variety of academic backgrounds and academic abilities. Sometimes, students encounter bumps in the road, whether it was something they caused, something that was out of their control, or maybe they are in the wrong major. This presentation highlights ways to communicate with students experiencing challenges that are causing an at-risk situation or academic probation or continued on probation standing. The presentation will also explore how the presenter has reached students to encourage them to return and finish the degree they started, some of whom were on probation previously or seeking a petition to return.
