13th Annual Fire Conference – A Showcase of Medical Student Research

Friday, February 18, 2022 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The 13th annual Focused Inquiry & Research Experience (FIRE) module conference is Feb. 18 at the College of Medicine. The event will be in-person with COVID-19 mitigation strategies in place, including social distancing guidance and face mask requirements. Student presentations will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The plenary lecture is at noon to 1 p.m. in the Lewis Auditorium by Sten H. Vermuid, M.D., Ph.D., dean and Anna M.R. Lauder professor of public health and professor of pediatrics at Yale College of Medicine. He will speak on “A Research Journey in Pediatrics and Public Health from A) Alabama to Z) Zambia.” Up to 6 credits of CPD/CME are available and are free for participating physicians.
