Location Zion National Park is located near Springdale, Utah, which is less than 3 hours from Las Vegas, Nevada. Distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep red cliffs, the park contains mountains, waterfalls, hanging canyons, and deep chasms created by the Virgin River.

Weather The average temperature for Zion Canyon in March is a high of 63, and a low of 36 degrees Fahrenheit (17/2 degrees Celsius). On sunny days, you will warm up quickly while hiking but you may get chilly at night. Bringing layered clothing is key!

Cost The total cost of the trip is $495, not including roundtrip airfare to Las Vegas, Nevada. OA will provide all necessary group gear, meals, transportation while in Nevada/Utah, and all lodging fees. Participants are responsible for airfare and personal clothing, including hiking boots.

Trip Expectations This is not a luxury trip - we will be primarily in the backcountry and without access to modern amenities. We will be hiking in difficult and rocky terrain and camping in primitive campsites (without showers). Expect difficult hikes, breathtaking views, and intentional conversations.

Participant Expectations We are looking for individuals who are interested in exploring rugged mountain terrain. Participants must be physically active and capable of hiking multiple miles while carrying 10-15lbs. This is more than just an adventure trip - we will also be learning about the staples of outdoor leadership through experiential education. We expect all participants to be interested in learning more about themselves and collaborating as a team.
