Queerness and Authentic Leadership

Tuesday, February 22, 2022 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Congruence is an integral part of the Social Change Model of Leadership that requires knowing oneself and acting with consistency and authenticity. Entering new spaces can be a challenge for queer or questioning leaders regardless of their level of experience. This session will be a conversational space for participants identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community to examine how they lead as their best self. In this session all participants are equal parts teacher and learner and the facilitator will be processing alongside you instead of presenting. Discussion will focus on: navigating imposter syndrome, advocating for oneself, leveraging leadership skills to create safe spaces or repair harm, and moving beyond allyship to seek social change through solidarity. Together, the group will share and compile knowledge resources to leave with.
