River Paddling and Camping

Saturday, March 25, 2023 8 a.m. to Sunday, March 26 at 5 p.m.

Spend the day kayaking over 10 miles through the twists and turns of the St. Johns River and surrounding creeks, followed by camping overnight on Hontoon Island (which is only accessible by boat!). We will start at Hontoon Island State Park and stop half way at Blue Spring State Park for lunch. There will be an opportunity to potentially eat lunch with manatees by the springs. This trip is long, but follows the creeks and river downstream, providing beautiful views and experiences.

Register for this $35 trip in the UCF RWC app or through the UCF RWC Membership Portal website. Registration opens March 11 at 12 p.m. and closes March 20 at 4 p.m. All trips are now first-come, first-served. If the trip is full, you can register for the waitlist using the link above.

What’s Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal water/snacks. Food is provided for the trip. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting. Positive health behaviors are encouraged.
