Register for this trip in the UCF RWC app or through the UCF RWC Membership Portal website. All trips are now first-come, first-served. All trips will open 2 weeks before the first day of the trip. If the trip is full, you can register for the waitlist using the link above.
Trip Description: Spend the day kayaking over 10 miles through the twists and turns of the St. Johns River and surrounding creeks, followed by camping overnight on Hontoon Island (which is only accessible by boat!). We will start at Hontoon Island State Park and stop half way at Blue Spring State Park for lunch. There is a potential to eat lunch with some manatees if they are still by the springs when we head out there. This trip is long, but follows the creeks and river downstream, and provides some beautiful views and experiences.
What’s Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal water/snacks. Food is provided for the trip. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting. Positive health behaviors are encouraged.
