Learn more about VIVA MEXICO! our inaugural service-learning program to Chiapas, Mexico. Up to ten Honors students will be selected to participate in this two week Honors program in June 2017. Our program will partner with La Universidad Autonoma de Chiapas and the nonprofit organization She Wins Mexico to teach English language and healthy living skills to indigenous children in Chiapas communities. Students are selected on the basis of their academic achievement, campus and community involvement, and their commitment to engaging in study-abroad as a transformative experience. The program leaders are Dr. Alvin Wang (Dean of The Burnett Honors College) and Dr. MC Santana (Director of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program).
Interested students should attend either of the scheduled information sessions. More information and the application can be found at http://honors.ucf.edu/students/mexico.
