KnightED Talks Workshop: Working in Urban Environments with High Need Populations

Wednesday, January 11, 2017 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Presenter: Dr. Susan Kelly, UCF College of Education and Human Performance

While teaching in an urban setting with high needs population has its challenges, many teachers find the experience very rewarding. During this presentation, teachers from a local urban school will share their experience. Participants will learn what to expect and gain clarity regarding the truth and myths about teaching students with high needs. Additionally, interested prospective teachers will have an opportunity to receive mentorship from one of the presenting teachers. This workshop promises to be formative, casual, and worthy of participants’ time!
