We invite UCF students to a Halloween Open Mic Night with a costume contest, open mic for writers and fun, spooky Halloween trivia! This event will take place in Trevor Colbourn Hall 109.
Important information for readers:
Doesn't need to be a ghost story, but try to keep it spooky. There may be open slots upon arrival but those holding non-reader tickets are not guaranteed a reading slot.
What we're looking for:
- Original content!
- Give us spooks, scares, and thrills!
- Each reader is allotted five minutes max.
What we're not looking for:
- Traumatic or triggering content.
- Excessive reliance on profanity, gore, and/or graphic sexual imagery.
- Elements or themes that promote discrimination of any kind.
Expectations and etiquette:
As this event is for UCF students only, we will be requiring each guest to produce their UCF ID for verification at our check-in tables.
You are encouraged to dress up in costume, as we will be having a costume contest! Please remember this is an on-campus event, so only wear costumes that will be appropriate for a general audience.
We ask that you do not bring food to this event. Bottled water will be offered as you check in.
