CHDR Presents: Sarah Bousfield, Luci Meier, Katherine Thurlow, and Melissa Rosero-Barros

VLP researchers Sarah Bousfield, Luci Meier, Katherine Thurlow, and Melissa Rosero-Barros, in cooperation with the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Kiowa, Comanche, and Caddo tribes, the National Park Service, Flagler College, and the Florida National Guard, participated in memorial events held November 15-16, 2023. The researchers interviewed tribal Veterans and descendants of the imprisoned Fort Marion Plains Indians (1875-1878). The researchers will share their experiences of these events and portions of the interviews in their presentation: "Broadening Horizons: Experiencing Plains Indian Memories" with an introduction by Dr. Amy Giroux of CHDR.
