The College of Health Professions and Sciences is hosting its second annual Healthy Aging Fair on Friday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rehabilitation Innovation Center in Research Park (address below).
The fair connects local seniors, their family members and caregivers with valuable resources to help them age safely and independently. Visit the fair to see product demos, connect with community providers, learn from expert faculty and check out some of the latest products and technologies designed to make the process of aging easier.
This year’s event will offer free onsite cognitive/language, audiology and mobility screenings (as space and availability permits) from UCF’s Physical Therapy Clinic and Communication Disorders Clinic.
The fair will also feature breakout sessions with UCF faculty on topics like voice and swallowing, chair yoga, hearing, healthy cognition, and technologies available to support aging in place. The SMART Apartment, a specially equipped space designed with assistive technologies, will also be open to tour.
Multiple community exhibitors will be in attendance to showcase their resources and services.
Parking for the event is onsite and free.
