This international conference about gendered aspects of armed conflict, peacebuilding, and social movements covers sexual violence, women as fighters, peacekeepers, and victims in armed conflicts, and the relationship between gender equality and human security. The conference includes an exclusive showing of Hawar: My Journey to Genocide, a unique documentary about the massacre and displacement of Yazidi Kurds and sexual enslavement of Yezidi women by the ISIS.
