Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is for anyone who wants to learn life-saving skills in a variety of environments.
This course is designed for remote environments (outdoors, disaster, travel, rural areas) and focuses on improvising with limited resources. You will learn:
- How to recognize and effectively manage a medical emergency
- Treatment for a variety of injuries
- Bleeding and infection control
- Splinting fractures
- How to handle environmental emergencies such as heat exhaustion, lightning strikes, drowning, snake bites and more
WFA is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts; those who travel internationally or to remote areas for fieldwork, business or pleasure; homesteaders and individuals seeking greater self-sufficiency; people living in rural locations; students in the medical field who want hands-on training; and anyone interested in learning first aid skills.
