FIRE 16th Annual Conference -- Celebrating Med Student Research

Friday, February 21, 2025 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The College of Medicine's 16th annual FIRE (Focused Research and Inquiry Experience) celebrates medical student research. UCF's medical school is one of the few in the nation that requires all first- and second-year M.D. candidates to conduct and present a scientific research project that will advance medical knowledge.

This year's conference is Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Medical Education Building at Lake Nona. The event is open to the public and will feature oral and poster presentations.

The plenary speaker is Dr. Analiz Rodriguez, neurology oncology director at the University of Arkansas' College of Medicine, who will speak on "Finding Your Path in Clinical Research." The presentation is at noon in Room 102 of the Medical Education Building.
