Accoustic Survey Training

Tuesday, November 18, 2025 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Calling all UCF students!
Want to get hands-on wildlife field experience without leaving campus? Join us for Acoustic Survey Training on November 18, 2025 (12:30–2 PM) at the UCF Nature Pavilion and help support real conservation science!

Learn how to monitor bats as part of the North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat) and discover how you can volunteer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to help collect vital data on bat populations right here at UCF.

Why you should come:

  • Gain real-world field and research experience — perfect for students in biology, ecology, environmental science, or anyone curious about wildlife conservation.
  • Build resume-boosting skills in acoustic monitoring and data collection methods used by professionals.
  • Contribute to important efforts that help protect Florida’s bat species, monitor ecosystem health, and guide conservation policy.
  • Network with wildlife biologists and conservation professionals!

Meet at: UCF Nature Pavilion (we’ll walk to the site together)
When: November 18 | 12:30–2 PM

Let’s use science to help our local bats thrive!
