Register for this trip in the UCF RWC app or through the UCF RWC Membership Portal website. All trips are now first-come, first-served. All trips will open 2 weeks before the first day of the trip. If the trip is full, you can register for the waitlist using the link above.

Pre-Trip Date & Time: Monday, January 26 at 6:00 PM

Trip Description: Spend a relaxing day floating along the Indian River as we cast lines, enjoy the sunshine, and take in the laid-back coastal atmosphere. Outdoor Adventure trip leaders will introduce basic fishing techniques and share their favorite spots, all while the river provides the perfect backdrop for an easygoing day outdoors. A Florida fishing license is included with this trip, so anyone can join in — whether you're a seasoned angler or trying fishing for the very first time. This day is all about slowing down, enjoying the water, and seeing what bites.

Tentative Itinerary (time and activities are subject to change):

• 5:30 AM – Arrive at Outdoor Adventure Center and travel to kayak launch
• 6:45 AM – Fishing school, gear set up, and launch
• 8:00 AM-1:00 PM – Kayaking and fishing
• 1:00 PM – Load kayaks and head back to UCF
• 3:00 PM – Debrief and farewell

What’s Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (including kayaks, PFDs, fishing rods, etc.), transportation to/from the activity, and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders.

What’s Not Included: Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal lunch/water/snacks. Meals are not provided. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting.
