Common Ground: A Journey Through Stories & Surprises

Wednesday, February 18, 2026 2 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.

Discover connection, creativity, and curiosity at Common Ground, a vibrant experience where students explore personal values, traditions, and big questions in a welcoming, playful space. Through storytelling circles, interactive games, and hands-on art stations, participants build bridges across diverse worldviews—religious, spiritual, secular, and everything in between. No prior knowledge or experience needed. Just bring your open mind! Presented by Dr. Haley Winston, Director of Civil Discourse and Engagement at the University of Central Florida.

This event is open to all members of the UCF community and is featured as part of Leadership Week 2026. Since 2000, Leadership Week has been an annual initiative and one of UCF’s signature traditions. Coordinated by the Leadership Week Executive Board and LEAD Scholars Academy, the program is designed to encourage, inspire, and prepare students for every stage of their leadership journey.
