Philosophy Night at UCF

Wednesday, April 15, 2026 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Join the Philosophy for Children Organization for an interactive conversation on philosophy, religion and the humanities. This is a great opportunity to learn about the UCF Philosophy Department, meet department faculty, and engage with your peers!

The Philosophy for Children Organization is a club at UCF dedicated to bringing philosophy education to local K–12 schools. We want to inspire young students to think like philosophers by exercising their critical thinking skills, moral reasoning, and innate curiosity. Some of our core values are the democratization of philosophy education, treating young students as intelligent thinkers, and emphasizing student-led discourse and activities. Some of our events and projects include guest presentations at schools, recurring lessons at a Montessori school, collaboration with high school philosophy clubs, and more. The organization was started by Professor Brooke Rudow, who was inspired by the philosophy for children programs that she participated in as a graduate student. The student founders, in collaboration with Professor Rudow, serve as the executive board of the club. We were all moved to take part in this project by a shared passion for teaching philosophy.
