Supercharge Your Day Job with Artificial Intelligence

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 11 a.m. to noon

Many of us have experimented with generative AI (GenAI) tools like ChatGPT, but what about using them in your day-to-day work at UCF? Where can GenAI help you work more efficiently and productively?

In this session, we’ll provide a brief overview of what GenAI is, how it works and its advantages and weaknesses. We'll also introduce effective prompt engineering techniques and explore proactical ways AI can enhance productivity.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain low large-language models of AI work, including their strengthens and weaknesses.
  • Log in to and use the only safe AI tool at UCF: Microsoft Copilot.
  • Apply basic prompt engineering techniques to generate more effective results.
  • Identify when AI is an appropriate tool to use — and when it's not.
  • Use AI to make everyday work faster, easier and more effective.
  • Explain how to co-create with AI while recognizing which tasks are better suited for human expertise.
