Reduce Obstacles, Increase Engagement: An Introduction to Open Education

Learn how open educational resources (OER) and open pedagogy can reduce obstacles to learning, improve access to course materials and engage students in meaningful work that extends beyond the classroom.

In this workshop, you'll learn to: 

  • Define open education, open educational resources and open pedagogy.
  • Identify online resources to locate OER to support students' course learning objectives.
  • Consider how open pedagogical practices could enhance student engagement in their own courses.

This workshop is limited to faculty, staff and GTA's only.
