One of the first things you need to do to maintain your immigration status it to check-in with UCF Global- International Student & Scholar Services so that we can activate your SEVIS record. All international students must arrive in time to attend a Mandatory Check-In Session at UCF Global. You will be prompted to register for your Check-In Session in the Online International Student Orientation.
At your Check-In Session, you will meet with a UCF Global advisor to update your local address, emergency contact information, and phone number. Your UCF Global advisor will make a copy of your immigration documents (I-20, passport, visa, and I-94) and answer any questions you have about your immigration status. You will get to meet other new students and UCF Global student ambassadors will be available to answer your questions about student life and to take you on a tour of campus.
Please note that you will not be able to register for classes until you have completed check-in so be sure to arrive early enough to be able to attend. Once you complete your check-in, UCF Global will remove the “International Student Hold- New Student” hold from your student account.
*Undergraduate students need to attend a Mandatory Check-In Session before attending First Year Orientation.
