The City of Orlando's Youth Empowerment Summit for Central Florida LGBTQ Youth and Their Allies - Orlando Youth Empowerment Summit

Saturday, February 1, 2014 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
On February 1st Mayor Buddy Dyer's Office of Community Affairs and Human Relations will be hosting a FREE Youth Empowerment Summit in partnership with GLSEN, PFLAG, Orlando Youth Alliance, and Symantec Corp in the 9th floor Overlook Room of City Hall downtown. The goal of the event is to promote a new level of understanding and growth among the LGBTQ community and their allies, and to also educate those who want to become more involved. We will have Florida Rep. Joe Saunders in attendance as well as other local community leaders and professionals from across the Central Florida area and the entire country; Professor Estelli Ramos of the UCF School of Social Work will also be conducting a workshop.

Breakfast will be served along with refreshments throughout! We will also be giving away an awesome tablet and other electronic door prizes courtesy of Symantec Corporation.

If you'd like to get some more info on the event please contact us, registration is FREE for students and we'd love to have you all included in the discussions we'll be having. We're also asking for RSO's to attend, in return you and your members can receive service hours.
