"The Making of an Opera: Discussing the Creative Process"

This talk will center around the current project that Dr. Sung has
been involved with during the past 2 1/2 years--her opera titled “THE RED SILK THREAD” premiered in two public workshop performances in April of 2013 at the Univ. of Michigan (Ann Arbor), the work is scheduled for its world premiere in April 2014 at the Phillips Performing Arts Center at the Univ. of Florida. Dr. Sung will discuss the evolution and process of the work and show some examples of the music and visuals.
