From No Child Left Behind (NCLB) to Every Student Succeeds (ESSA) Town Hall Meeting

Wednesday, August 29, 2018 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE), along with the Delta Teacher Efficacy Campaign’s special initiative on Teachers Advocating as Great Change Agents (TAG), invites you to join us for a special Town Hall meeting focused on building a coalition of advocates, including families, leaders, community partners and teachers to discuss and ensure Florida’s full implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). A part of our discussion will specifically highlight the impact of ESSA regarding children in the lower 25% of academic achievement. A panel of diverse leaders in education will share information about ESSA from various perspectives, along with a dynamic Keynote Presenter Yolanda Cash Jackson, Governmental Law Attorney and shareholder at Becker & Poliakoff in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Community members interested in learning more about ESSA and its impact are welcome, including parents, leaders, educators, and community partners. Register at ucfessatownhallmeeting.eventbrite.com

*Please note the registration deadline is Wednesday, August 22, 2018
