How to Raise $200,000 For Your Business Idea

Thursday, February 5, 2015 noon to 1 p.m.
Come out and learn how UCF Student Ketan Rahangdale raised $200,000 for his startup and how you can do the same. This workshop will give you an inside look into a young but fast-growing startup and will offer tips for what to do after you get money in your hand from friends, family and/or investors.

Ketan Rahangdale is the President of JOOX, which allows music artists to get to know their fans, and rewards fans for being loyal. JOOX promotes this engagement in three primary ways. First, JOOX provides a funding platform that allows fans to support their favorite artist’s music. Fans receive reward points which can be redeemed for rewards of interest to them, rather than for a fixed reward. Second, JOOX incentivizes fans with additional reward points for promoting and engaging with the artists, such as purchasing merchandise and music, attending concerts, or supporting their artist on social media. Third, JOOX also incentivizes fans with bonus reward points if the artists and their music reaches certain popularity levels. The more popular the artist and their music, the more bonus points the fan gets. At the end of the day, JOOX wants to help artists and fans to live in harmony. Read More
