Physical Therapy Capstone Research Presentation

Saturday, April 13, 2019 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

UCF's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program will host its annual student research presentation event on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Classroom Building II, Room 207, on the UCF campus in Orlando.

The event will highlight the work of third-year DPT students and include 12, 15-minute research presentations and poster sessions.

Students will present on a variety of topics, such as

  • muscle deterioration following short-term limb immobilization
  • the impact of a modified ride on car on participation and play (UCF Go Baby Go! initiative)
  • an innovative intergenerational physical activity program (Grow and Play initiative)
  • the impact of the Movement to Music program on mobility and balance among older adults with dementia

"These DPT students have done great work and will be well prepared," said Matt Stock, assistant professor of physical therapy and director of the Neuromuscular Plasticity Laboratory.
