Campfire Chat Series

Sunday, May 17, 2020 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Join UCF Outdoor Adventure as we chat with Felipe Gomez, professor at San Jose State University and avid SCUBA diver. He is currently researching the intricate and often misunderstood relationship between shark fishermen in Baja and environmental groups, such as Ecologists Without Borders. Felipe was born and raised in San Luis Potosi in Central Mexico, and completed his PhD in Communications at the University of Texas.

We'll discuss ocean sustainability, the benefits of reframing and open communication, and how we can work together to make the world a better place with Felipe. We encourage you email questions before the chat to Katherine Rocco (katherine.rocco@ucf.edu) and to participate in the conversation as much as you want!

In the meantime, you can tune up for our conversation by following Felipe on Instagram (@felipe_is_uw).
