Ed. Chats at UCF: Disrupting Educational Practices

Wednesday, August 5, 2020 12:35 p.m. to 1:05 p.m.

This webinar is part of the Ed. Chats series — informative sessions for educators, school counselors, school administrators, district personnel and higher education faculty — sponsored by the Teacher Quality Partnership and UCF's College of Community Innovation and Education.

COVID-19 has propelled the nation into a new normal that necessitates an introspection of education. Yet, this inward reflection should not only concern the practical. Instead, the ideological, borne of faulty belief systems need shifting. This session will provide practical strategies that educators and counselors can use as they prepare to return to school (whether F2F or virtual), as well as challenge attendees to disrupt belief systems that, if not reshaped, would undermine the potential to provide equitable and affirming experiences for students.

Presentation by Dr. L. Trenton S. Marsh.

This webinar is free of charge. Advanced registration required.
