Join us virtually on Thursday, January 28 and 29, 2021, for the UCF Center for Public and Nonprofit Management's Human Trafficking Research Consortium, which will be held in connection with the 13th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Day - now a multiple-day event (January 27 - 29, 2021).
This research consortium seeks to bring researchers, students, government professionals, practitioners in nonprofit and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community leaders together to discuss human trafficking issues in a multidisciplinary way that considers Victim Service Organizations (VSOs), counter-human trafficking operations, and anti-human trafficking missions.
Panels on January 28 and student posters on January 29 will consider human trafficking given public policy, operational, technological, sociological, legal, and ongoing challenges (like COVID-19).
Panels and discussions on January 29 will include a media engagement with an awards presentation, a survivors' dialogue, a to be announced guest speaker, a discussion on child safety and grooming prevention, and a student engagement and demonstration of a bystander interventions game for youth.
