Part One: Let’s Be Clear This session supports the university’s goal of creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive community by taking a strong stance against sexual assault, harassment, stalking, and other forms of relationship violence. Title IX Training covers UCF Policy 2-004 – Prohibition of Discrimination, Harassment and Related Interpersonal Violence. We will review policy language of sexual discrimination and various forms of sexual misconduct including mandatory reporting duties of our faculty and staff members as well as university-wide resources.

This informative session will detail the history of Title IX, a landmark piece of federal civil rights legislation prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex in educational institutions receiving federal financial assistance. The session, presented with an interactive timeline, will share how Title IX came to be, and how shifting policy, social movements, and case law have shaped what Title IX is today.
