UNITY STAR: Inclusion Champions Present: Not About, Without: ADA and Combating Ableism (DIV 599)

Tuesday, February 22, 2022 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

This survey-level presentation will offer an overview of the history around the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how to be an ally combating the continued ableism many people with disabilities encounter in their daily lives. The discussion is designed to encourage deeper understanding and offer memorable awareness of the complicated issues around inclusion, human agency, and valuing the voices of those in the disabled community.
